Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Eskandari, at the opening ceremony of the 45th edition of the Holy Quran, Nahj al-Balaghah and Sahifa Sajjadiyeh competitions, congratulated the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH) and stated,” Before Islamic Revolution, the Marxists had claims for transformation in the world community and confronting the system. They were promoting capitalism, while the same Marxists considered religion to be the opium of society. The Islamic Revolution erased this false slogan from the minds of all those who had such a view of religion.”

He further clarified,” Iran's Islamic Revolution proved that religion can manage the world community and has something to say in all fields, and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Marxist thoughts were nullified.”

He stated that the arrogant leaders took various methods to diminish the influence of religion, and noted that their last attempt was insulting all religious manifestations. Burning the Quran is the ultimate desperation and blasphemy against this divine book, and it is clear that they cannot confront the movement of Islam.

He concluded,” We must convey Quranic teachings to the whole world and these messages must be transmitted to the Islamic society and the human society in order to prepare the ground for the emergence of the promised Imam al-Mahdi (PBUH).”
