Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi had a meeting with Dr. Vahidi, Iran’s Minister of Interior on Thursday condemning to the insult of the French magazine saying,” Western countries are not subject to any moral law, they commit the worst insults, but neither a court nor their own government deals with them; Other governments do not condemn such insulting acts either.”

Referring to the economic problems of Iran and the people, this source of emulation added,” We do not want to say anything that will undermine the government, but the Iranian people are suffering from economic problems and they expect a serious step to be taken in order to solve their livelihood problems.”

Pointing out the recent events, he stated,” one should distinguish between those who protest against economic issues and those who seek to riot and set fire to public properties. There should be a difference among those who promote anti-cultural issues, or serve as foreign agents.”

The Senior scholar further considered the devaluation of Iranian currency to be one of the causes of people's worry and unhappiness and emphasized,” It is not clear who is the actor and responsible for the currency market? Does the government cause it to increase, or supply and demand, or foreign factors and expatriates? Therefore, the main factor of the currency market should be identified and these issues should be prevented.”
