Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al- Islam Muhammad Hadi Mofatteh, the director of the Hamburg Islamic Center, and his accompanying delegation visited religious centers and cultural institutions during a six-day trip to London to meet with representatives of religious authorities and scholars to discuss ongoing activities and ways to boost bilateral ties.
On the first day of the trip, Hujjat al-Islam Mofatteh met with the director of the British Islamic Center, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Hashem Mousavi. During this visit, Hujjat al- Islam Mousavi introduced the Islamic Center of England and some of its activities and role in relation to the Muslims living in London, and then, while introducing the different parts of the center, he explained all the programs and activities of this center.
The second program of Hujjat al-Islam Mofatteh was a meeting with the Friday Prayer Imam at the Imam Khoei Charity Foundation, Ayatollah Sayyed Fazil Milani, and its director, Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Abdul Saheb Khoei. In this meeting, the background of the institution and the companionship of Grand Ayatollah Khoei with this institution from the beginning, and his special and direct supervision over the course of affairs were mentioned.
In addition to that, the religious and educational activities as well as the services of the institution were briefly mentioned; it was also explained that the schools under the supervision of this institution are among the most important non-profit schools in London and there are more than 400 male and female students, including Shia and Sunni Muslims as well as non-Muslims who are studying the British curriculum according to Islamic Sharia under the full management and supervision of the charity foundation.
On the second day of the trip, Hujjat al-Islam Mofatteh met with Hujjat al-Islam Alami, the president of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in London, and during this meeting, The Shia scholar Hujjat al-Islam Alami talked about the activities of the forum and its future programs, as well as the follow-ups regarding humanitarian and social issues of concern to the community and the necessary assistance which has been provided to the people.
