Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zulnouri, the representative of the people of Qom in the Iranian Parliament was a keynote speaker in this week’s Friday prayer sermons on July 1, which was held in the Mausoleum of Qom.
Hujjat al-Islam Zulnouri referred to the American Human Rights Week and said, "One of the headlines of human rights violations in The US is the gun freedom; such freedom accounts for 75% of the murders in this country which are victims of firearms.”
The Shia cleric stated that the crimes of the American police are among other examples of human rights violations, and the assault of the American police on the people of this country is not hidden from public eyes.
The representative of the people of Qom in the Iranian Parliament also pointed to the heavy judicial punishments in America and said, “Every year, many people are kept in prisons for false reasons.”
He went on to clarify that the US condemns Iran for violating human rights due to the death penalty, with the gesture of defending human rights. While in America, execution is done by various methods including lethal injection, electric shock chair and other inhumane methods.
Hujjat al-Islam Zulnouri described the media monopoly and possession of various social network platforms by the US and the West as the new colonialism of mankind and added, “User information is stored in the National Security Agency of America and given to spy services and private companies to be used for their evil purposes.”
Hujjat al -Islam Zulnouri further noted that Violation of women's rights and treating women as objects, racial discrimination against Muslims, invasion in different countries, launching proxy wars, equipping terrorist groups and all-round support for Saddam Hussein the former president of Iraq in the war against Iran are examples of the US government’s human rights violations. “
