Hawzah News Agency- Mujtama-E-Olema (Mumbai), Ithna Ashari Youth Foundation (IAYF) and several other organisations got together to commemorate the 33rd demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini.
A large number of people – men, women & children – turned up for the event titled Yaad E Imam E Rahil held at Kesar Baugh, Dongri, on June 12, Sunday.
The event started with strong condemnation for the people/figures/groups insulting Holy Prophet (saw) followed by speeches on the life of Imam Khomeini by Maulana Sayyed Mohammad Askari Sahab (Delhi), Maulana Akhtar Abbas Jaun Sahab (Lucknow), Maulana Sayed Ghulam Husain Mattoo Sahab (Kashmir), and Sunni scholar Maulana Mahmoud Dariyabadi Sahab, there was also a skit played by youngsters from ILM (Islamic Learning Movement).
However, the event highlight was Salaam Farmandeh (Salute Commander) which was recited by small children. After creating waves in Iran, Salaam Farmandeh reached the shores of Mumbai. The event attracted little boys and girls (Above 150)under the age of 14 years and they did justice to the nazm recited by Abuzar Rouhi from Iran.
Although the event spanned over three hours, the audience did not budge from their seat and listened to every speech delivered by the abovementioned Ulema.
