Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Monzer Al-Saifi, Public Relation Manager of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Oman has traveled to Iran in order to visit Tehran International Book Fair.
During his visit, the Omani official met with Mohammad Mehdi Taskhiri, Head of the Islamic Center for Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue in Qom on Saturday, May 21 at the University of Religions and Denominations to discuss bilateral ties.
Sheikh Monzer Al-Saifi, expressing his happiness for visiting the University of Religions and Denominations, highlighted its rich library and said; the duty of Islamic scholars against the spread of deviant ideas such as atheism, dissipation, etc. is very serious. Young people need to strengthen their beliefs and deepen their religious values and return to Islamic principles. For this purpose, we need joint efforts and cooperation of Islamic centers and there are shortcomings in this regard. Even universities have done little to help.
In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri , Head of the Islamic Center for Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue also noted, Iran and the Sultanate of Oman have had a deep and comprehensive relationship since ancient times. We believe that bilateral relations should be initiated as a result of these meetings including short-term visits and conferences, not to mention it should not remain in this range, but these cases are the key to initiating bilateral cooperation, which will lead to deep academic and scientific partnerships in order to sign memorandums of joint cooperation in the future.
