Hawzah News Agency – "Freedom of religion has been replaced by insults against religions and Freedom of expression has become a tool for fueling extremism and racism in the west," Bahadori Jahromi wrote in his Twitter account.
"The shameful insulting against 2 billion Muslims during Ramadan, with Swedish police support, is an absolute hateful act," he added.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh has held the Swedish government responsible for the recent desecration of Holy Quran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the burning of Holy Quran in Linköping, Sweden by a Danish racist and extremist element under the pretext of freedom of expression and supported by the Swedish police, Khatibzadeh said.
Deliberate repetition of this insulting act during the holy month of Ramadan has hurt the feelings of Muslims in Sweden and around the world, he added.
This insulting act is a clear example of hatred and contrary to freedom of expression and should be condemned by all believers in coexistence and dialogue between religions, he noted.
