Hawzah News Agency – The commander of the faithful, Imam Ali peace be upon him says:

السَّخاءُ أن تَكونَ بمالِكَ مُتَبَرِّعاً وعن مالِ غَيرِكَ مُتَوَرِّعاً.

'Generosity is that you contribute willingly from your own wealth, and restrain yourself from other people's wealth.'
