Women's Day

Referring to the high position of Her Holiness Fatima Zahra (PBUH), the President emphasised on paying attention and acting based on the behavior of this noble lady.

Hawzah News Agency –Speaking on Sunday at the conference of "Wise Lady" which was held to celebrate the birthday of H.H. Zahra (PBUH) and Women's Day, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi congratulated her birthday and congratulated Mother's Day and said, "The attributes and heavenly position of H.H. Fatima Zahra (PBUH) have lofty meanings.
The President stated, "Humanity must pay attention to what is available from the behaviour of Her Holiness Fatima Zahra (PBUH).
Dr Raisi said, "Today, our task is to know the great character of this dear lady who is respected by all Abrahamic religions".

"We must try to explain and introduce the culture of H.H. Fatima, which is a civilisation-building culture," said the President.

Ayatollah Raisi described the subject of international meetings and forums regarding women as a general understanding of women being lost, and said, "Against this view and efforts, Islamic civilisation seeks to prevent social harms".

The President added, "Today, the main issue for women is the real respect for women and the attention to Islamic identity, and with such a view, women's issues and problems can be solved."

Dr Raisi emphasised, "There is no difference between men and women to achieve the highest human perfection, and by protecting the true identity of women and trying to promote the character of women, many harms can be resolved".

Referring to the role of women in the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defence, the President said, "The sacrifice and courage of the warriors of Islam is due to the training and support of mothers, sisters and wives who stood patiently".

Referring to Islam's view of women, Ayatollah Raisi noted, "Islam recognised the right to property, inheritance and the right to vote for women 1,400 years ago, while in the West in recent centuries these issues have been addressed".

"The issue of women should not be defined separately from the family, because in our religious community, the family is very important," the President said.

Dr Raisi emphasised, "The foundation of a healthy society, of which women constitute a significant part, is rationality, justice, morality and spirituality, and in such a society, women have a decisive role".

Ayatollah Raisi added, "Education, sports and employment of women and taking care of women heads of households are in the government's plans and the government seeks to provide loans and insure women heads of households".

The President stressed the need to pay serious attention to family counselling in reducing divorce and said, "Agreed divorce should not be done easily and in this regard counselling centres".

Dr Raisi emphasised the government's efforts to solve the problem and employment and said, "We must solve the housing problem and make up for the backlogs that unfortunately existed in this area in previous years".
