Soldiers stationed near the old town of al-Khader fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at the students causing panic and many to suffer from suffocation.

Hawzah News Agency –Dozens of school children suffocated today when Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs in their direction as they were leaving their schools in the southern West Bank town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, according to a local activist.

Ahmad Salah, an activist, told WAFA that soldiers stationed near the old town of al-Khader fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at the students causing panic and many to suffer from suffocation.

Clashes immediately broke out in the area between the soldiers and residents, he said.

The windshield of a car belonging to a journalist covering the clashes was smashed by one of the tear gas bombs, said Salah.

This is the second day in a row soldiers fire tear gas and sound bombs at al-Khader students as they leave their schools.
