Ayatollah Arafi calls for serious attention to ethics courses at seminary

During a meeting with the deputy of moral refinement of Iran's seminaries, Ayatollah Arafi called for serious attention of seminary students to ethical and moral subjects.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - During a meeting with the deputy of moral refinement of Iran's seminaries, Ayatollah Arafi referred to the arrival of month of Rajab as the spring of worship and stressed on the necessity of making the most of the blessings of Rajab and Sha’ban. Head of Iran’s seminaries explained, “If the prayers of these month are not part of our essence, existence and our joyful atmosphere, then we can never be successful.” He added, “Those who work at different sections of the moral refinement organization should be the epitome of this in their lives.”

The Shia cleric noted, “Moral education has many elements, and the most important one is that it must be comprehensive, balanced, intrinsic and in accordance with the needs of the seminary students.”

He emphasized serious attention of seminary students to ethical and moral subjects and said, "General ethics courses need to be given special attention both in the provincial centers and at higher levels, and it requires the more active participation of the seminary students in this field.”
