Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Head of the Islamic Center of England Hujjat al-Islam Muhammad Ali Shomali paid a visit to the main office of Hawzah News Agency in Qom on Saturday during which he became familiar with ongoing activities of Hawzah News as well as Ofogh Weekly magazine.

During this visit, the editor-in-chief of Hawzah News Hassan Sadrayi Aref and managing editor of Ofogh weekly magazine Hujjat al-Islam Ramezanali Saeedi presented reports on the news activities of their respected departments.

In the sidelines of his visit, Hujjat al-Islam Shomali had a meeting with head of media management of Islamic Seminary Hujjat al-Islam Muhammadreza Barteh in which they discussed the basic principles for news coverage within the Islamic seminaries.

Head of the International Institute for Islamic Studies Hujjat al-Islam Shomali remarked, "Honesty is the basic principle for every news activity and all media networks must commit themselves to observe this fundamental rule in journalism."

"Respecting senior scholars and the elderly in Islamic seminaries is another major principle that must be attended to. Today, young clerics are in need of good role models as well as practical solutions, therefore, you must move towards addressing these issues." Hujjat al-Islam Shomali concluded.
