Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Abolfazl Tabatabaei Ashkezari made some remarks regarding the latest developments in the region and Syria.
In this interview, Hujjat al-Islam Tabatabaei Ashkezari asserted, “Deciding to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Quds is part of the vicious puzzle of the arrogance powers.”
He noted, “In my opinion, this decision that actually was a gift from the US to Israel, will instead benefit the Islamic Ummah, as we have seen the Ummah have become united immediately after this move.”
Describing the latest status of the resistance front in different countries in the region, Hujjat al-Islam Tabatabaei Ashkezari said, “As Haj Qassim Solemani commander of the resistance front announced after liberation of al-Bukamal, it was the end of ruling of Daesh in Syria and Iraq and in the region. Of course it does not mean that there is no longer any Daesh member on earth or in the region, but rather it means there is no country or place that Daesh can govern, when as you know Daesh claimed to be a state and government.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria stressed, “Currently, our warriors in the resistance front have a superior position, relative security exists in the region and some of the actions that are now taking place, such as Trump’s Quds move, are partly affected by these victories.”
“On the other hand, the United States itself was seeking to deploy in al-Bukamal so it could close the road from the other way, but the resistance leaders and commanders predicted the enemy's plans very accurately,” Hujjat al-Islam Tabatabaei Ashkezari added.
Regarding the future of relations of Iran and Syria he said, “Iran and Syria step in the same path and have the same enemy that is Israel; Israel is enemy of Syria, enemy of the Islamic Iran, enemy of Lebanon, enemy of Iraq and enemy of the region.”
Hujjat al-Islam Tabatabaei Ashkezari stated, “Iran will continue to have cultural presence in Syria and will maintain its relationship with this country.”
Analyzing Iran and Russia’s cooperation in the issue of Syria, the Shia cleric remarked, “We have had a good relationship with Russia, but one of the interests that led to reaching a common goal between Iran and Russia was the Syria problem.” He added, “It was important for Russia to prevent the US from becoming too powerful in the region, as America’s presence in any region is equal to unsafety.”
End.
