Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran)- Zahara Sadat Hosseini who will represent Iran in the UAE International Holy Quran Competition for Female Memorizers will leave Tehran for Dubai on Wednesday.
The ten-year-old girl was selected a few months ago as Iran’s representative by Quran experts of the committee for selecting and dispatching Quran reciters and memorizers to international contests.
The second edition of Sheikha Fatima International Holy Quran Competition started in Dubai on Sunday.
75 contestants of different recitation schools - Hafs, Warsh and Qaloon - from around the world are participating in the competition.
The first day of the competition saw the participation of six contestants from Nigeria, Pakistan, USA, Maldives, Norway, and Chad.
The second day had seven memorizers from Myanmar, Egypt, South Africa, UK, Benin, Iraq, and Sri Lanka.
Iran was represented by Hannaneh Khalafi in last year’s edition of the contest.
