Ayat. Arafi receives Dean of Islamic University of Indonesia

"For years the Islamic Republic of Iran has been resisting unfair international sanctions imposed by the arrogant powers. However, Iran has been developing despite all these sanctions." Professor Shirazi added.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Professor Muhammad Shirazi, Dean of Islamic University of Indonesia, met with Head of Iranian Seminaries Ayatollah Alireza Arafi in Qom on Sunday, October 22.

 

During the meeting, the Indonesian scholar remarked, "I personally believe in order for Indonesian Islamic centers to develop, we must promote our bilateral cooperation with Islamic Republic of Iran; this is the main purpose of my trip to Iran."

 

He added, "For years the Islamic Republic of Iran has been resisting unfair international sanctions imposed by the arrogant powers. However, Iran has been developing despite all these sanctions."

 

Dean of Islamic University of Indonesia further noted, "Iran is a great example of a country which is resisting against the colonial powers and their illegitimate demands. The other Muslim nations should also take Iran as an example."

 

"Today, the Indonesian nation are faced with numerous challenges and struggles including social problems and ethnic conflicts which I believe can be solved through dialogue, scientific and cultural interactions."

 

Professor Shirazi concluded, "Today, Indonesia is in urgent need of scientific, cultural, social, economic and political capabilities of Iran; I hope that this trip would pave the way to establish such cooperation between the two countries."
