Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with the Iranian deputy foreign minister for Asia and Pacific affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani mentioned tragic problems of Muslims in Myanmar and said, "Right from the time that the global arrogance took over Islamic countries, the Islamic world have been facing more and more problems every day."

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani described deviation from Islamic teachings as an important factor in the occurrence of many problems for the Ummah and stated, "Distancing from Islamic teachings has led to the domination of the arrogant world over the Islamic countries."

His Eminence added, "The Western countries have various policies and interests in the Islamic regions and they pursue specific goals in each country, but the breakup of Islamic countries has always been one of their strategies."

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani named some of the dangers of the possible independence of Kurdistan of Iraq and stressed on the importance of standing against this imperialist plan.
