Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Hossein Salami described Mohsen Hojaji who was recently beheaded by Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorists as a symbol of the Islamic Iran’s dignity, grandeur and greatness.

Hawzah News Agency (Bushehr, Iran) - Speaking at a cultural ceremony in the southern city of Bushehr on Sunday, General Salami also said that nations inspired by the spirit of Jihad and resistance will never be defeated.

Hojaji, a holy shrine defender, was taken hostage by the Daesh Takfiri group near the Iraqi border on August 7 and was beheaded two days later.

He was one of the Iranian military advisers helping the Syrian government in the fight against foreign-backed Takfiri terrorist groups.

The shrine of Sayyida Zeinab, a sister of Imam Hossein (as), the third Shiite Imam, is located in Damascus, Syria.

Iranian military advisers have played a decisive role in the protection of the holy shrine against terrorist attacks.
