Hawzah News agency (Qom, Iran) – A delegation of Sunni scholars from the Iranian province of Kurdistan paid a visit to Qom on Monday, August 28 and discussed ongoing issues regarding the Islamic world.
During this trip, Mamousta Abdullah Abdullahi, Friday Prayer leader of Baneh, Mamousta Sayyed Ali Ahmadi, a seminary lecturer and Mamousta Abdulrahim Ahmadi, dean of Piromar seminary school in Kurdistan visited different religious centers in Qom and became familiar with their activities.
They started their program by visiting the holy shrine of Lady Masuma (sa) in Qom.
Later they visited the University of Religions and Denominations and met with its professors. The Sunni scholars became familiar with different departments of the university and their ongoing educational courses.
At the end of the visit, the Sunni and Shia scholars discussed ways to promote proximity among Islamic sects highlighting the need to act on the current solutions instead of just talking about such ideas.
