Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with Senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mahmoud Madani, dean of Jamiat al-Zahra (sa) University, pointed out that more than 14000 female students are currently studying their Islamic courses in Jamiat al-Zahra (sa).
“Out of these 14000 students about 7000 attend online classes and 7200 participate in classes at Jamiat al-Zahra University in Qom, Iran. There are 1200 foreign students currently studying at this Islamic University,” Hujjat al-Islam Madani added.
Asserting that 7000 foreign female students from 92 different countries have so far graduated from Jamiat al-Zahra (sa) University, Hujjat al-Islam Madani remarked, “Some of Jamiat al-Zahra’s foreign graduates have started teaching courses in their own countries and are carrying out promotional activities regarding Islam.”
The Iranian cleric added, “One of Jamiat al-Zahra’s (sa) Argentine graduates has published 20 books on Islam; her efforts have provided a great source for introducing Islam in Latin America. There are also some others, who after graduating from Jamiat al-Zahra University, established schools, institutes, seminary schools or TV stations to carry on their programs in order to promote Islam in their own countries.”
