Hawzah News Agency (Medina, Saudi Arabia) – The office of senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi offers different services to Hajj pilgrims; answering the religious questions of pilgrims including the clerics is among the most important of them.
Another service provided by his eminence's offices in Mecca and Medina is their cultural programs; these programs include supporting different groups of Hajj pilgrims and sending religious missionaries to them in order to address their religious needs.
Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi Nasab, a member of Grand Ayatollah Makarem's office in Medina elaborated on their programs during Hajj season and said, "Another major program of our office in Saudi Arabia is to meet with pilgrims from different countries; such meetings are held with the purpose of establishing dialogues with Muslims around the world and answering their questions regarding Islamic jurisprudence." Hawzah quoted him as saying.
Previously, and at the beginning of the arrival of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, his eminence’s office was only established in the holy city of Medina; however, as the Hajj season draws nearer, and more pilgrims are going to travel to the holy city of Medina to begin their Hajj rituals, his eminence’s office has opened a branch in Mecca as well.
