Senior Cleric receives Belgian Students in Qom

"World's academic institutes must not be influenced by external factors including politicians." said Ayatollah Alavi Boroujerdi .

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Ayatollah Alavi Borujerdi, a senior Shia scholar, received a group of Belgian Students in the conference hall of Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi library in Qom on Friday, July 7.

During the meeting, the senior cleric stressed ongoing critical circumstances in the world asserting that the world is going through some hard times regarding cultural conditions since violence and extremism are being spread all around the world.

"That's why academic institutes must step up to maintain peace and security worldwide; they must invite everyone to stay committed to preserving world's peace and avoid any form of violence." Ayatollah Alavi Boroujerdi added.

Pointing out another responsibility of world's academic centers, the cleric urged scientific organizations and universities to recognize the present critical conditions in the world making an effort to look for appropriate solutions in order to address current problems and create lasting peace worldwide."

"World's academic institutes must not be influenced by external factors including politicians."

Elsewhere in his remarks, the seminary lecturer added, "Some American and English institutes are only serving their own countries' benefits and are not willing to take any steps to help create global peace and security."

"Although these institutes are well aware of the fact that Saudi Wahhabis are responsible for causing all the trouble in the world including 9/11 attacks, yet we see no practical response from such centers. Instead, they take stances against the Iranian government since they want to protect their ties with Saudi regime and protect their interests. A best example for such relations with the Saudi regime is the recent billion dollars arms deal signed between the US and the Saudi regime."

End.
