Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani, a Shia source of emulation, issued a message to Grand Ayatollah Sistani in which he congratulated him as well as the Iraqi nation on their victory over ISIS in the city of Mosul.

The decisive victory of Iraqi forces and brave nation over the enemies of religion and humanity in the city of Mosul brought joy and pride to the Muslims all around the world.

This great victory was achieved by following the valuable guidelines of Shia sources of emulation and sacrifices made by brave Iraqi soldiers under the great leadership of your eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sistani. This triumph made all Muslims jubilant. We thank Allah almighty for this great victory.

I congratulate Grand Ayatollah Sistani, the Iraqi government as well as the brave nation of Iraq on this victory and pray to Allah almighty for the security and prosperity of all Iraqi people.
