Ayat. Noori Hamedani urges Islamic unity

Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, a senior Shia cleric, condemned Tehran terrorist attacks in a statement. "Such attacks reveal the evil nature of ISIS (or Daesh) and their masters to the world."

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, a Shia source of emulation, issued a statement on Friday, June 9 in which he condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Tehran. The text of the statement is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the most compassionate, the most merciful

ISIS (or Daesh) terrorists carried out an inhumane attack and martyred some of our Iranian fellow citizens in Tehran. Such attacks reveal the evil nature of ISIS (or Daesh) and their masters to the world.

Today, the whole Muslim community must stay united in the fight against false Salafi and Takfiri thoughts which are created by the US, Zionist Regime and their regional affiliates to sow discord within the Muslim community. The enemies must know that Iranian nation follow the path of Ashura and are raised with concepts such as Jihad and martyrdom. Iranians will combat and neutralize all plots carried out by terrorist-sponsoring countries including the US and their mercenaries in the region. We condemn the terrorist attacks in Imam Khomeini (ra) Shrine and the Iranian Parliament and pray for the victims.

I also express my condolences to the families of the victims.

In the end, I thank the security forces who provide peace for the people of Iran.

Hussein Noori Hamedani
