Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – During these meetings, Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi, a Shia source of emulation, remarked, "We all must adhere to Ahl ul Bayt's (as) teachings and seek this opportunity that is given to us during Ramadan to obey Allah almighty since Ramadan is the month of divine mercy and forgiveness."
Speaking of the current developments in Iraq and the ongoing fight between Iraqi troops and ISIS terrorists in the northern regions of the country, the Ayatollah added, "With Allah's grace and with the efforts of Iraqi soldiers, our final victory is near; I ask all Iraqi citizens to look after the families of Iraqi martyrs and also the wounded soldiers who risk their lives to combat terrorism."
In the end, the top cleric urged unity within Iraqi nation and said, "Iraqi people must support the security forces in any way they could; In order for Iraq to enjoy lasting peace and security, the people must stand united and do not let enemies cause any strife or discord among them."
