Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, a Shia cleric in Qom on Monday, April 3, Janos Latorcai , Deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary remarked, “The relations between Hungarian government and parliament are quite close; we care so much about realizing divine justice in running our parliamentary affairs.”
He added, “The government of Hungary grants 100 scholarships to Iranian students annually; this serves as a great investment for us since these graduates are considered as our country’s cultural ambassadors.” Hawzah Quoted Janos Latorcai as saying.
During the meeting, Janos Kovac, the ambassador of Hungary to Iran, also made some remarks saying, “The recent meeting between the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and the Hungarian prime minister served as a milestone in ushering in the new phase of developing our bilateral cooperation with Iran.”
The Hungarian ambassador to Tehran concluded, “The Hungarian delegation’s visit to Iran has another purpose as well; the deputy speaker of the national assembly of Hungary who is a member of the delegation in this visit is also the head of Hungary’s Christian democrat party; so we’re seeking to develop our religious ties with Iran as well.”
