Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with participants of the third round of the meeting for the representatives of Muslim holy shrines which is being held in the Iranian city of Qom, Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, a Shia source of emulation, thanked the delegations who took part in the event and said, “Your efforts to serve the Muslim community is regarded as a rewarding act and will most certainly bring about great results for the Islamic community. We are currently living in an era when individual projects do not bear many results whereas team work is highly appreciated among societies. “

 He added, “Increasing cooperation among the service members of the Muslim holy shrines in different countries has the potential to begin a movement in order to serve the interest of Shia Muslims and the followers of the Ahlul Bayt’s (as) doctrine .

The senior Shia scholar further touched on the issue of the enemies’ alliance against Islam and said, “The idea of establishing an Arab Nato has been proposed by the US president; he has also stated that the US won’t be interfering in the affairs of the so-called Arab Nato, but they will provide support for such an organization. This is exactly what the US has been doing in Iraq, Syria and Yemen during the recent years.”

“We need to stand united in the face of such threats as one Islamic body; in doing so, we must increase unity and cooperation among Muslim holy shrines in order to bring us closer to such an objective.” said Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi.
