Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 10th demise anniversary of late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani in Qom’s Grand Mosque on Thursday, March 2, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi hailed the Shia scholar’s character saying, "Late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani was among the greatest Shia sources of emulations in the world; he had certain distinguishing attributes which are still regarded as practical and useful traits for seminary students and Islamic seminaries to follow."
Member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries added, "Late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani managed to create valuable works for seminaries and seminary students; his works are of great importance for Islamic seminaries today."
"On the day of late Ayatollah Fazel’s demise, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei remarked, ‘the Islamic seminaries lost one of their greatest scientific pillars and the people missed a bright revolutionary source of emulation." concluded Ayatollah Arafi.
*Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Fazel Lankarani was an Islamic cleric. He was student of Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi. He was a child of a Persian mother and an Azerbaijani father.
