Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with a group of Pakistani Muslim scholars which was held in the Iranian Islamic Seminaries’ office for International Relations in the city of Qom on Tuesday, February 28, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Mofid Husseini Kouhsari made some remarks saying, "With respect to constructive relations between the countries of Iran and Pakistan, there are great opportunities to boost our cooperation in terms of cultural and scientific relations."
Head of the Iranian Seminaries’ Office for International Relations further referred to the Seminary of Qom as one of the greatest scientific hubs in the world; "There are a wide variety of courses offered to seminary students in Qom in order to pursue their education in specialized fields including Quranic sciences, economy, management, philosophy, law, etc. This goes to prove the developing condition of Iranian seminaries."
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian cleric touched on the topic of Islamic seminary’s future strategies and asserted, "One of the main policies of Iranian seminaries’ is to accept and educate volunteers from different nationalities worldwide; students from 120 countries are currently learning Islamic sciences in the seminary of Qom."
"Iranian Islamic seminaries, especially its Office for International Relations, are fully prepared to cooperate with Pakistani Muslim scholars. We must realize the existing potentials in both our countries in order to promote Islamic teachings; This meeting could serve as an introduction to later joint sessions to discuss scientific issues and develop mutual cooperation," Hawzah News quoted Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari as saying.
