Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) - 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada with the presence of supporters of Palestine from all around the world, began in Tehran on the 21st Feb. Here is an Interview with a Rabbi who believes Israel must dismantle.

Please first introduce yourself?

Hi, my name is Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of Neturei Karta Jews; United against Zionism. I came here to this conference about Palestine in Tehran to be the voice of Jewish people for Palestine. We Jews around the world, we are against the occupation of Palestine and we believe that the state of Israel has no right to exist.

Judaism is a three thousand year old religion to serve God but Zionism is a political movement. It is a transformation to nationalism of material concept. A 150 year old movement and according to the Torah, it is forbidden for Jews to make their own state, since the destruction of the Temple two thousand years ago they are not allowed to oppress and kill people. So if you see it from any facet, we are opposed to the state of Israel. Our hearts cry for the people of Palestine. We feel their suffering and we want to world to understand that conflict between Jews and Muslim is the fight between wrong and right and the state of Israel is the cause of this bloodshed and suffering and it is wrong entirely and Palestine should be free.

In your opinion what is the main danger of Zionism in our world?

You know our Jews give our lives for our religion, and throughout history we have been killed by Crusaders, we believe that the soul is more than the body, but Zionism is trying to disconnect Jews from God. Zionism is trying to destroy Jews. What is happening to Palestinians is catastrophic but Zionism has caused the bloodshed of Jews too. We pray to God for peace so we can tell the Palestinians one day, take back your lands. Muslim countries are the ones who always opened their doors to Jews throughout history and gave them refuge and embraced them when they were being attacked and harassed. We don’t hate each other and we want to show our gratitude to Muslims.

You are one of the famous anti-Zionist Jews and live in New York; there is a good relationship between Israel and the West. What is the reaction there?

We constantly demonstrate in front of the White House, we urged the world not fall into trap of Zionism, We want the rest of the world to know that it is evil, on the contrary it is the cause of bloodshed and suffering and anti-Semitism around the world. It is not even helping the Jews. We want the West to stop supporting Israel.

Some analysts say the Zionist lobby is the hand behind Western countries, what do you think?

Yes, Aipac (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) launch dinner, conventions in Washington DC. Most Democrats and Republicans, President, Vice presidents, members of Senate and congress come to their events. We go and demonstrate outside for days. Aipac has a strong influence and people are intimidated by them.

What is your opinion about the relationship between president Trump and Israel?

God help us, we are against that, we demonstrate and we are hoping he will change his mind. He has actually changed his mind about moving the embassy to Jerusalem. He has to stop supporting Israel.

How was the conference and the speech of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei?

We appreciated his warmth and his separation between Zionism and Jews. We hope it would be a way to showing the world that Judaism and Zionism are not the same and it is not a religious issue and we are hoping that the problems are solved here. This is such a great gathering you created here.
