Chapter ۷۹: Spiritual Battles

The forces of darkness are your enemy and when you choose to be still and know that the Greater One lives on the inside of you, you are saying to the whole world, "I trust in God. He is my Defender." //"Whoever puts his trust in God, He will suffice him."(Quran; 65:3)

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -The Quran is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. In coming weeks we are presenting some short articles on ethical issues that have been written based on the verses of Quran.

When you are facing a challenge, it is easy to want to run to a friend or talk about it with a neighbor. However, at some point, as our traditions say, you have to stop and say, “God, I rest in You. I know You have me in the palm of Your hand.” Know that “He is with you wherever you may be. God is Seer of everything you do”. (Quran; 57:4)

Remember, our battles are spiritual battles. The people in your life are not your enemy, the forces of darkness are. When you choose to be still and know that the Greater One lives on the inside of you, you are saying to the whole world, “I trust in God. He is my Defender.” When you choose to believe in Him, you will enter into His rest.Certainly whoever submits his will to God, while doing good, he will have his reward with his Lord. There will be no fear over them, nor will they grieve”. (Quran; 2:112)

As you are still before Him, as you tune out the distractions of the world and lean into Him, you will find rest and experience His victory and blessing in every area of your life. Go humbly to God almighty, seeking rest for your heart and mind. Choose to be still before Him. Choose to cast your cares on Him. Put your trust in Him, and then He will fill you with His peace. “Whoever puts his trust in God, He will suffice him”. (Quran; 65:3)
