Chapter ۷۵: Be a Reflection of God

We have to invite God into our attitude and actions and reflect him by bringing good to others and reap an abundant harvest of blessing in every area of our life.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -The Qur’an is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. For next 100 days we are presenting some short articles on ethical issues that have been written based on the verses of Qur’an.

When you reflect something, you are exhibiting its likeness. You are displaying its characteristics. Like a mirror, holy Qur’an tells us that we are the caliphs and successors of God almighty. So we should reflect the character and likeness of God. We should have His same attitude. He says: “And your Lord said to the Angels: I am placing a successor on earth. They said: Would You place in it those who would corrupt in it, and spill blood, while we sing Your glory, and praise You? He said: I know what you do not know”. (Qur’an; 2:30)

Remember, when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we must obey and fallow Him. To do this, we should follow His Prophet and do what He did. Qur’an says: “O' you who believe, obey God and obey the messenger and those entrusted amongst you. But if you dispute in any matter, then you shall refer it to God and His messenger if you believe in God and the last day. That is better and more suitable for knowing”. (Qur’an, 4:59)

We have to invite God into our attitude and actions. Reflect Him in our attitude and actions, bring good to others, be as a mercy to them and reap an abundant harvest of blessing in every area of our life. We should try to be like the holy prophet as Qur’an says about him: “A messenger has come to you from yourselves, concerned over your suffering, anxious over you, towards the believers he is compassionate, merciful” (Qur’an; 9:128). Then we are good followers for holy Prophet and we are the real caliphs of God.
