Chapter 61: He is the one who saved you!

When you would have failed and you would have disputed in the matter; it was God who saved you… he is the Knower of what is inside the chests. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent and your income.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -The Quran is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. For the coming weeks we are presenting some short articles on ethical issues that have been written based on the verses of Quran.

No matter what weakness you think you may have, no matter what inadequacies or setbacks you have encountered, God wants to give you His divine strength. He wants to make up the difference and put you further ahead than you ever thought possible.

The Quran tells us about the battle of Badr: “God shows them to you as being few in your dream, and had He shown them to be many, then you would have failed and you would have disputed in the matter; it was God who saved you. He is the Knower of what is inside the chests. And God showed them to you when you met as being few in your eyes, and he made you appear as being fewer to their eyes. That was so God's decree would come to be; and to God all matters are returned”. (Quran; 8: 43 & 44) What happened? God made up the difference.

Almighty God can make you seem bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent and your income. You do not have to figure it all out; all you have to do is, putting your trust in Him. If you will trust Him and wake up every day expecting His far and beyond favor, then you are going to see Him make up the difference in every area of your life.  So “remember God's blessings upon you when a group desired to aggress against you, and God restrained their hands from you. And reverence God. And in God the believers should put their trust”. (Quran; 5:11)
