Muslim cleric warns Al Khalifah to end Sheikh Isa’s House Arrest

“Bahraini rulers must be aware that any act of insult against Sheikh Isa Qassim would end in their regime’s overthrow,” said Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Zadeh.

Hawzah News Agency (Vienna, Austria) – Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Zadeh, head of Vienna’s Islamic Center addressed a group of Shia Muslims on Sunday, January 8, in which he said, “The execution of sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, the Saudi cleric, as well as the oppressive measures carried out against other Shia leaders including, Sheikh Ali Salman and Sheikh Zakzaky, are considered as a shame for the Muslim world.

Referring to the critical conditions of political prisoners in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Mohsen Zadeh quoted an Islamic narration saying “the reign of oppressive rulers will not last long.”

The Shia cleric further asked Bahraini rulers to put an end to Sheikh Isa Qassim’s house arrest, “In an act against the common international laws, the Bahraini regime has revoked Sheikh Isa from his citizenship. We ask the Al Khalifah regime to stop the crackdown on dissent against Bahraini citizens. Bahraini officials must be aware that the smallest act of insult carried out against Sheikh Isa Qassim would end in their regime’s overthrow.”

End.
