Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – A ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Saudi Shia cleric, Nimr Baqir al-Nimr will be hold in the Iranian city of Qom.

According to the reports, the ceremony will be held simultaneously with the martyrdom anniversary of this Shia spiritual leader; it’s scheduled to take place in Qom’s grand mosque on Sunday night, January 1.

The key note speaker of the event is going to be Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools.

Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, commonly referred to as Sheikh Nimr, was a Shia Sheikh in al-Awamiyah in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province whose arrest and execution created diplomatic tensions.
