Israel Confiscates Medical Trailer in Palestinian village

Israeli troops have confiscated a trailer used by a small Palestinian village as a health clinic, just a few days after it was offered to the community. In response to the confiscation of the medical trailer, a petition has been filed in Israel’s Supreme Court.

Hawzah News Agency (Occupied Territories of Palestine) - Israeli occupation forces have confiscated a trailer used by a small Palestinian village as a health clinic, just a few days after it was offered to the community.

The confiscation of the medical trailer from a village in the southern West Bank has shocked Palestinian residents in the area, who are now worried that two more mobile medical trailers could be confiscated as well.

Israel is “demanding that over 1,000 residents in eight villages be permanently evicted” and the regime “forbids connecting them to the water supply or electricity grid as well as any construction, including for structures for public needs, like clinics or schools.”

Before Israel forcibly took control of the area in 1967, which it classified as “Firing Zone 918,” these villages were already there and had been in existence for quite some time.

In response to the confiscation of the medical trailer, a petition has been filed in Israel’s Supreme Court. The Palestinian official who filed the petition has asked the Supreme Court to force Israel “not to dismantle and confiscate any trailers serving as clinics until the end of the court proceedings.”
