Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at the national conference called "The Messenger of Kindness" held for religious poets in the city of Qom, Iran, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, a senior Shia cleric said, "The main impact of showing kindness is that it cleanses one's soul from vice and impurities."
The seminary scholar went on to describe another aspect of expressing kindness and affection towards Prophet Muhammad (sawa) and his household (as) as helping mankind in times of trouble, "In addition to spiritual guidance brought about by adherence to Prophet Muhammad (sawa), one can also gain the wisdom to distinguish right from wrong."
Reiterating that religious intercession is a result of true adherence to Prophet Muhammad (sawa) and his household (as), Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools added, "Undoubtedly, the meaning of religious intercession could be interpreted in this context, it could define the concept of unity in the Islamic world; a society which is united and abides by religious rulings has only one guide and one resolution and that is intercession."
Addressing the religious poets present at the event, Ayatollah Araki said, "It's a divine blessing that you're given the privilege to recite poems about Prophet Muhammad (sawa) and the issue of Islamic unity; since you promote the core elements of unity among the Muslim Ummah in the best possible way.'
