Muslim activist says: Muslims need unity more than ever

The current political trend in the region demands more than ever for the countries in the Islamic World to promote unity among themselves, says the spokeswoman of the Muslim Association of Greece. 'Enemies of Islam and the Islamic Ummah are well-aware of this point and that is why they never stop creating divisions among Muslims to achieve their sinister ends,'

Hawzah News Agency (Athens, Greece) - 'Unity is one of the most vital factors in promoting Islam and the Islamic Ummah,' Anna Stamou said in the Greek capital.

Stamou said that all the Muslim countries should try to promote unity in the Islamic World and to realize the call for unity among Muslims by Prophet Muhammad (sawa).

'The initiative by Imam Khomeini to assign a week as the Islamic Unity Week tended to be a significant turning point in the contemporary history of the Islamic World,' she said.

The official at the Muslim Association of Greece said that if Muslims become united, they will to guarantee the future of the Islamic Ummah.

'Enemies of Islam and the Islamic Ummah are well-aware of this and that is why they never stop creating divisions among Muslims to achieve their sinister ends,' Stamou said.

In the face of Western and especially the United States negative propaganda against Islam and the promulgation of Islamophobia by them, the Muslims have only one way to put an end to all the crises and that is by promotion of unity.

Referring to the activities by the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group, Stamou also said that the United States with the help of some Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia created the Daesh terrorists to disturb peace and stability across the Muslim countries and create division among them.

By creating the Daesh terrorist group, they are not only after damaging the Islamic unity but to provide the Zionist regime with a freer hand to increase its audacious treatment of the Islamic Ummah and especially the Palestinian people, she said
