Chapter 20: Do not Miss Your Opportunities

Holy prophet says: “God creates opportunities in your life for you, be careful and do not lose them”.

Hawzah News Agency-The Qur’an is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures and provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and equitable economic principles. For next 100 days we are presenting some short articles on ethical issues that have been written based on the verses of Qur’an.

In Scripture, there was a woman who had been sick with a bleeding disorder for twelve years. She went to the best doctors, received the finest treatment, but her health continued to decline. One day, she got word that Jesus was coming through her town. When she heard that, something came alive on the inside. She had so much coming against her, but she did not focus on that; she knew it was her time for healing. Instead of giving up, she fought her way through the crowds and touched the edge of Jesus’ robe. When she did, immediately she was made whole. There were many other people like her in that same type of situation. They were sick. They were discouraged. They had trouble. But they just watched Prophet Jesus pass by. They let excuses keep them from their miracle. Holy prophet says: “God creates opportunities in your life for you, be careful and do not lose them”.

So do not let your circumstances keep you from reaching out to God. It does not matter what has happened in your past, just keep moving forward. God has destiny moments in store for you. Keep pressing in, keep believing, keep praying and, like this woman, reach out to Him. “And ask God from His favor, God is knowledgeable over all things”. (Qur’an; 4:32) Know that God is faithful, and He will meet your faith with His power. He almighty says: “As for those who strive in Our cause, we will guide them in Our paths. For God is with the pious”. (Qur’an; 29:69)
