Hawzah News Agency- At the beginning of the meeting, Ayatollah Noori Hamedani, a senior Shia cleric in Qom, thanked the officials of the Iranian Organization of Endowment for their sincere efforts in different areas and further said, “Promoting the culture of endowment and also educating people on the appropriate intentions prior to carrying out the act of endowment would have great benefits for the society in the present era,”

The senior cleric went on to say, “Religious belief, piety, modesty and generosity are among the characteristics that would make mankind to be loved by Allah almighty; the act of endowment is a true example of making donation for the sake of Allah, and it is admirable to promote this rewarding traditions among the people of every society,”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Noori referred to the great walk of Arbaeen and added, “Providing better service for the millions of pilgrims who take part in the Arbaeen walk and display the glory of Islamic Ummah to the whole world is a great way to use the endowment funds to promote Islam,”

“The great Arbaeen procession to Karbala provides a great opportunity for us to conduct different religious and cultural events in order to raise public awareness and to promote Islamic teachings, “The Shia Marja added.

“There are numerous Quranic verses emphasizing the importance of the religious act of endowment, it was after revealing these verses to the Prophet that Muslims realized the significance of this rewarding tradition; the action of endowing financial funds bears many blessings in the side of Allah almighty and we as Muslims must make a particular effort to do it,” Ayatollah Noori Hamedani concluded.
