Hawzah News Agency-The 10th round of religious dialogue between Iran and Vatican was started this morning in Rome with the presence of Iranian religious delegation in the place of Vatican's Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the 10th round of religious dialogue between the International Center for Interreligious Dialogue of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Vaticans Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue was started in the place of Vaticans Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue before noon today (Tuesday, November 22) with the presence of Cardinal Jean Louis-Pierre Tauran, the President of Vaticans Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and Dr. Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and the head of Policy-Making Council of Religions on the top of an Iranian religious delegation as well as Hujjat al-Islam Rabbani, Iranian ambassador to the Vatican and Akbar Ghowli, Iranian cultural attaché in Italy.
According to this report, this round of religious dialogue between Islam and Christianity will be held in two days starting from today with the presence and speech of Dr. Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and the head of the head of Policy-Making Council of Religions, as well as Mohammad Javad Sahebi, the head of Academic Council of Iranian Secretariat of Religion Researchers, Seyyed Yahya Yasrebi, the professor of Philosophy Department of Allameh Tabatabai University, Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, the faculty member of Tehran University and the president of ECO Cultural Institute, Hujjat al-Eslam Dr. Morteza Javadi Amoli, the head of Esra International Institute of Revelatory Sciences, Hujjat al-Islam Abolghasem Alidoost, the faculty member of the Research Institute of Islamic Culture and Thought, Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamooshi, the head of Islamic Propaganda Organization, Hujjat al-Islam Abdol Hossein Khosrow Panah, the head of Institute For Research in Philosophy in Iran, Mohammad Masjed Jamei, the member of Policy-Making Council of Religions, and Hayedeh Ramezan Rostam Abadi, from Catholic Christianity Department of the International Center for Interreligious Dialogue of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
In this two-day meeting Muslim and Christian scholars will present their papers entitled "Extremism and violence in the name of religion; the reasons of the supporters and perpetrators; Catholic perspective / Islamic perspective", and "Rational approach to religion: the sign of hope for wounded humanity; Catholic perspective / Islamic perspective", and "Humanity and its common home; the contribution of religion for having a better world; Catholic perspective / Islamic perspective".
The 9th round of religious dialogue was held in December of 2014 in Tehran between the International Center for Interreligious Dialogue of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Vaticans Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue entitled "Constructive Dialogue between Muslims and Christians for the Good of Society".
