Hawzah News Agency- In a message released on the occasion of Arbaeen which marks 40 days after martyrdom of Shia's third Imam, Lebanese cleric Ayatollah Abd al-Amir Qablan condemned the recent terrorist attacks which took place in the suburbs of the Iraqi cities of Karbala and Fallujah saying, " The spirit of life inspired by Imam Hussain (as) will eventually conquer terrorism,"
The senior cleric further congratulated Iraqi and Syrian resistance for their recent victories against ISIS terrorists and asked Arab and other Muslim leaders to join hands in the fight against terrorism; he reiterated that terrorism is regarded as a deadly disease which must be uprooted from the Islamic world and their financial and arms resources must also be destroyed. In order to do so, religious scholars have a duty to remind people of the threats imposed by such extremist and radical beliefs and call the public to unite in their fight against violence and terrorism.
Speaking on the occasion of Arbaeen, Shaykh Qablan addressed the Lebanese people saying, "Imam Hussain's (as) Arbaeen serves as a religious occasion which unites all Lebanese to provide solutions for their government in order to solve their country's problems, It's expected of our politicians to take these advices seriously and put aside their personal interests in order to serve Lebanon's prosperity and progress."
