 Islamic Community Ready to Embrace Religious Approximation

“Despite all the challenges in the Islamic world today, the Islamic Ummah is ready to welcome religious approximation more than ever before,” said Ayatollah Araki.

Hawzah News Agency- In a meeting with delegations from the Iraqi ministry of education, members of the endowment organization of Iraqi Sunnis, endowment Organization of Iraqi Shias along with some officials of Ahl al-Bayt University which was held in Qom, Iran, Ayatollah Araki thanked the participants for their efforts in advancing the establishment of University of Islamic Sects in Iraq.

 Highlighting the need to develop the doctrine of proximity of Islamic schools of thought, Ayatollah Araki added, “I really hope our projects, particularly; the establishment of the University of Islamic Sects in Iraq goes operational in the near future,”

 

Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought further noted, “Despite all the present challenges in the Islamic world, the Islamic Ummah is ready to welcome religious approximation more than ever before,”

 

 The senior cleric further emphasized the need to develop unity as well as proximity among Muslim communities as a top priority and concluded, “Nowadays, the Takfiri terrorists must not be considered as a threat to Iraq and Syria only since they are indeed posing a major threat to the whole Islamic world,”
