Hawzah News Agency- Delivering his sermon in Qom’s Friday prayer this week, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi spoke on the ongoing Mosul operation in Iraq saying, “With Allah’s help, Iraqi Sunni and Shia youth are fighting alongside each other to eradicate Takfiri terrorists from Iraq; sadly enough, the US and Al Saud along with other regional powers do not want to let this happen, they wish to prolong extremism and Takfirism in the region,”

 Qom’s Friday Prayer Leader went on, “Our advice for the people of Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Bahrain is for them to continue on their path because the enemies’ evil plots will eventually return to themselves and you will come out victorious, “

“During Imam Hussain’s (as) mourning ceremonies, Radical groups assisted by Israelis and Saudis attacked some mourners; it must be noted that such mourning rituals are not exclusively held by Shia Muslims, but serve as a flag or symbol for all the noble men and women all around the world; this year, a group of innocent people in Nigeria and Afghanistan were martyred during Muharram ceremonies,”

The Member of Qom’s Society of Seminary Teachers further stated, “Muslims must stay true to the cause of Imam Hussain, since Allah is there to protect them; we must also warn Al Saud and all those who stand against such luminous uprisings that we will never back down in the face of our enemies for as long as we support and love Imam Hussain’s (as) and his cause, we will fight the injustice and the oppressors in the world,”
