Hawzah News Agency-Increasing illegitimate relationships between young boys and girls cause distress in society; moreover, such relationships harm women and girls emotionally.
In a message to the closing ceremony for 'Hijab and Chastity Conference' held in the City of Mashhad, Ayatollah Sobhani pointing at the fact that Women's creation and chastity are interwoven, added," At the time when Angel Gabriel (PBUH) spoke to Holy Mary (PBUH), he said to her, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah."
The Senior Shia cleric went on," As long as immoralities are not widespread in the society such chastity prevails, but if the situation changes in a way that media and other influencers engage in spreading moral corruptions among the people of society, then chastity as well as social virtues will be violated or declined,"
In his message, Ayatollah Sobhani further asserted, "We all are aware that every family forms a small unit of the society and a family's peace of mind as well as other sides relies on girls' immunity of any form of moral corruptions; a main way to ensure this is to protect women's chastity and its fruit which is Hijab,"
Saying that women are regarded as an invaluable essence of creation, he said," women must not expose their bodies or show off their beauties in public as the immoral would do; They must preserve their dignity by wearing decent outfit, therefore hijab should not be regarded as a restriction on women, rather it must be considered as immunity against moral corruption,"
"Given the circumstances in some societies that are dealing with numerous social problems, temporary marriages, or lack of interest in marriage, one realizes all these problems are due to their excessive freedom regarding boy and girl relationships and such consequences are expected,"
"As a matter of fact, such illegitimate relationships between young boys and girls cause distress in the society; moreover, such relationships mostly damage the women and girls emotionally" he concluded.
