Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Javadi Amoli in his meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Raeisi stressed on the necessity of paving the way for revealing and developing the talents of Khorasan seminary students.
Appreciating the attempts rendered in Khorasan Razavi over the years after the victory of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said, “Move toward making Khorasan Seminary predominant and promote it to the period of its culmination period.”
“Mashhad seminary once was one of the biggest Islamic seminaries of the Islamic world and great scholars were engaged in teaching in Mashhad; that situation should be revived once again”, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stressed.
“The city that has trained Ghazali and Khajeh Nasir as well as many other scholars should keep an elevated trend and what Imam Reza (PBUH) carried out in his scientific sessions should be revived”, he added.
“The output of Najaf Seminary after one thousand years is shining such that if that output is taken away from the Shi’ite, it will make a big loss”, said the source of emulation.
“Our Four Books is the output of this seminary. Today the seminary demands a great man like Sayyed Mortaza; if you enable the seminary to have such an output, you will have done a great task”, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli continued.
Noting that a crucial duty in administering the seminary is preserving the seminary and training great professors and scholars, he said, “The secret of success of Najaf Seminary was that in one department, a group of great religious authorities were trained while they were engaged only with Marja’iat (religious leadership) and a larger group were busy with Ijtihad (practicing religious jurisdiction) and studying and argument.”
Referring to the singular capacities of Mashhad seminary, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli asserted, “Khorasan Seminary has a good potential of development; Khorasan seminarians are loyal, kind, talented, and very strong and the way for displaying their talents should be paved.”
“The secret of Sayyed Morteza’s success was that he assigned wages to the seminarians based on the amount of their position and knowledge and he knew exactly which seminarian should be used in which section; thus, he trained pupils who had the potential of reaching the position of Sheikh Tousi and Sheikh Saduq and did not assign them to, for example, preaching or leading congregational prayers”, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli added.
He called Qom and Mashhad the holy cities of the Shi’ite world and said, “These two cities should be the shelter of the Shi’ite by embracing the qualities of the shelter while they are still far from such a position.”
“Unfortunately, today we see insecurity in Najaf that has impeded its earlier efflorescence but the high capacity of Mashhad should be used for efflorescence”, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli noted.
“Astan Quds Razavi should also pay attention to such regions as Southern Khorasan since people of this region are very industrious and their deprivation should be resolved”, he said.
