One of the examples of Jihad of explanation which the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei issued is ‘explanation of Imam Khomeini’s personality’. If the reality of Imam is not explained correctly, this great personality will be distorted and the methods of this noble character will be influenced by internal and external currents and it will be expressed in another way.

Hawzah News reporter: How did Imam Khomeini invite the people to confront the hegemony of the West and the East and end the world's dependence of the so-called Third World countries to superpowers?

Imam Khomeini (RA) improved the relationship between the nation of Iran, the government and Allah almighty; He prioritized the Islamic ideology of fighting oppression and eliminating dependency. When the 1979 Islamic revolution took place in a country dominated by the West, it was actually a practical invitation to other nations to free themselves from dependence on the West. If the people of Iran were not united and determined in their sympathy with Imam Khomeini, this revolution would not have happened.

Hawzah News reporter: Why did Imam Khomeini emphasize that "Quds" should serve as a compass in Islamic and Arab world?

Al-Aqsa Mosque was the first Kiblah in Islam and is sacred for all Muslims and is considered a red line. It is the only shrine that is under occupation, and Imam Khomeini emphasized the unity of the Islamic community by highlighting the holy al-Aqsa mosque. Quds is the point of unity among all Muslims and the struggle against Jewish domination over Islamic lands.

Hawzah News: How do you compare the stances and leadership approach of Ayatollah Khamenei and Imam Khomeini?

We have seen the unity of ideology and approach between both, but there is a time difference in the area of its implementation; as we speak about the imams in terms of the difference in time periods. Both of these characters are the same in terms of goals and methods and so far we have not seen any difference between the two leaders. Both of them sought the honor of the Iranian nation as well as Muslims, the freedom of Quds, Islamic unity, and the fight against global imperialism.

Hawzah News: Did the Islamic revolution founded by Imam Khomeini achieve its goals and slogans, and how do you see its impact in the region?

Iran has made considerable progress in various fields, but what Imam Khomeini, the leader of the revolution, and the people of Iran want is more, and the ideology of the revolution has also affected the region. Regarding the official relations between Iran and Syria, we look with respect at Iran's bilateral ties with our country and the blood of Syrian and Iranian martyrs has become one. We hope that Iran will continue to support the Syrian government in future.
