Iranian Culture and traditions were introduced to the Russian audience in their own language in online video clips by Iranian Cultural Mission in Moscow.

Hawzah News Agency - According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program was prepared and presented by the Persian Language section of Iranian Cultural Mission in Moscow and M.s Maria Gen the head of the said center said that the video clips presented during this virtual cultural event depicted Iranian history and culture during the Iranian festivity of "Yalda Night" which marks the longest night of the year.

Iranian Cultural Attaché to Moscow, Ghahraman Soleimani, speaking about the precision of the Iranian calendar said most of the Iranian festivities are nature related and coincided with seasons such as winter and spring.

Talking about the reasons behind reading of poems written by the world-renowned Iranian poet, Hafez, himself read some poems from this poet to Russian audience.

A member of the Islamic encyclopedia, Baharmi talked about the stories behind the Iranian festivities from the time of mythology to the present time.

The students of Persian language and Iranology read some poems from Hafez and talked about Yalda Night and its particular ceremony among Iranian and other Persian speaking nations.

As part of the ceremony, a seven-minute video about Iranian customs was broadcast and was widely reported on Russian-language social networks. During this webinar, it was announced that the Golestan Saadi reading contest will be held and the selected participants will be presented by valuable gifts.
