Economic endeavor for public demands, instance of worship: AQR chief custodian

Marvi, who was addressing participants at an opening ceremony for a production line of animal husbandry, breeding and genetically modified products, stated that spiritual acts must not be confined to a series of religious customs only.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad - Iran) - Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, says economic endeavors conducted in line with the self-sufficiency of the country and meeting the needs of people are not of material nature, but acts of worship and spirituality.

Marvi, who was addressing participants at an opening ceremony for a production line of animal husbandry, breeding and genetically modified products, stated that spiritual acts must not be confined to a series of religious customs only.

Noting that God does not like to see Islamic societies dependent on infidels, he said: “Activities of all economic centers that lead to dignity of the country are instances of worshiping as they gain independence, dignity, and pride for the Muslims against infidels. Economic activists of the country have to consider their endeavors as valuable acts because they are of spiritual, religious and virtuous nature”.

He called on the economic activists to do their best to reach a point of perfection to make Western countries visit Iran for acquisition of science and technology. “This is a reachable goal”.

He added: “When we had libraries with hundreds of handwritten books in Iran, there was no single library throughout Europe”.

Marvi pointed to motivated, faithful and patriot people working in different economic units across the country, saying: “If they become united, a very powerful body will be shaped to destroy all mafia and broker groups. These industrious people are divided now”.

AQR chief custodian stated that scientific advances and industrial achievements obtained after the victory of Islamic Revolution are solid evidences for Iranian nation’s capability”.
