Ali Al-Tamimi, an Iraqi law expert, emphasized the legitimacy of Iran's response to the attacks of the Zionist regime on Tehran's consulate in Damascus.

Hawzah News Agency- Iraqi expert Ali Al-Tamimi emphasized the legitimacy of Iran's response to the attacks of the Zionist regime on Tehran's consulate in Damascus.

He noted that following the Israeli regime attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, and since the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations considers embassies to be part of the territory of the country to which they belong, according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Iran has the right to respond.

Al-Tamimi stated that the United Nations Security Council must condemn Israel for threatening international peace and security, violating the laws of war in Gaza, violating international agreements including the Geneva and Hague Conventions and Committing war crimes and genocide under the seventh chapter of the United Nations Charter.

This legal expert stated,” Iran's attack on Israel is the first of its kind since 1973, and Iran should have responded to the terrorist attack on its consulate in Damascus which led to the killing of a large number of victims.”

He further pointed out that these incidents may lead to the recognition of Palestine as a permanent member of the United Nations and not as an observer, and these attacks will serve as a means to put pressure on Israel and the United States to resolve the disasters in Gaza so that the circle of conflict in the world does not expand.
