Interview

A researcher of astronomy and cosmology in Holy Quran, pointed out that human knowledge in cosmology is at the pre-kindergarten stage, adding,” contrary to some claims, most of the world's physicists and scientists are monotheistic and believe in God.”

Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Seyyed Hossein Omidiani, on the sidelines of his visit to the seminary section of the 31st International Exhibition of the Holy Quran in Iranian capital city of Tehran, had an interview with Hawzah News correspondent during which he expressed his satisfaction with the numerous and diverse activities of the seminary sections in the Quranic fields. The Holy Quran is the divine book of all times and for the guidance of all people, so seminarians and academics, professors and thinkers should do everything they can in the way of explaining the enlightened teachings of Holy Quran.”

He also emphasized the need to acquaint the general public with the deep concepts of the Quran in modern ways and said,” Sometimes when I refer to the verses of the Quran related to experimental sciences and physics, I see that all the verses of the Quran are scientific and full of wisdom, but the level of human being achieves a part of these knowledge with his little knowledge.”

The member of the academic faculty of the university added,” The Holy Quran deals with both the beginning of the creation of the world and its end, and in the verses, it mentions issues such as the formation and death of stars, the creation of man, the creation of the earth and the heavens, and even topics such as the existence of exo-planets have been discussed.”

He stated,” One of the scientific issues mentioned in the Quran is the expansion of the universe, which scientists have not yet been able to understand the depth of these issues.”

Dr. Omidiani also went on to point out,” Despite all the amazing scientific advances, including the invention and use of advanced telescopes such as The Hubble and James Webb, it must be said that humanity is at the pre-kindergarten stage regarding the science of cosmology; many professors of physics and astronomy admit this fact.”
